Sunday midnight The Daily Roxette, in cooperation with Capitol Records and Elektroniska Tider, will stream 34 seconds each of Gyllene Tider's new double A-sided single! The album sleeve can be viewed in the discography section without the doodling now.

Gyllene Tider will meet this week to discuss which song will become the first single off "Finn fem fel". The single will be released to radio stations on May 17, and a proper release is expected early June. The Daily Roxette will stream Gyllene Tider's new single at midnight the 16th.

Gyllene Tider announced today that they will release a full new album named "Finn fem fel"! The album will be released June 2. Also, the Gothenburg concert will be moved to Ullevi. More at The Daily Roxette.

Gyllene Tider is beginning the celebration of their 25th anniversary by re-releasing their first three Long Play albums "Gyllene Tider," "Moderna Tider" and "Puls" with re-mastered tracks and as digi-packs. At the same time, they're releasing a new CD: "GT 25 - Samtliga Hits!" ("GT 25 - All the Hits!") [Incidently the same title as the subtitle of the last two greatest hits albums, released in 1989 and 1995.] The new album will be relased both as a digi-pack and in a normal jewel case
The scheduled release date is March 24th.
The summer of 2004 will see Gyllene Tider tour the country of Sweden again. It's been eight years since they toured "Återtåget" in 1996. In Stockholm they had to move from Sjöhistoriska to to the Stadion arena as 35,000 people wanted to see the band! Now, everyone will have the chance again to experience the band live. The journey in time will continue - Gyllene Tider for new generations.

Last night, at Bern's in Stockholm, Per Gessle collected four Grammis awards (the Swedish equivalent of the Grammy) out of seven nominations. He got the heaviest award; "Artist of the Year", and also "Song of the Year" (Här kommer alla känslorna), "Pop of the Year" and finally "Composer of the Year". "I'm gonna party now, Åsa and I have even gotten a baby sitter!" Per says in Aftonbladet. "I'm so happy," he continues, "I'm going to keep the awards at home for a while, just to look at them!"

Per Gessle, who turned 45 the 12th, is nominated for no less than seven Grammis awards! The Grammis is considered a fairly pathetic prize among Swedish artists, and the jury always seem to pick the wrong winners year after year. New for 2004 is that the public can vote via phoning in, that may change it a bit.

As widely expected, Gyllene Tider has indeed decided to tour Sweden next summer to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Members of the group met over the weekend to make the final decision.
"After all, 25 years are really quite a lot, and that has to be celebrated," Per Gessle says. "It'll be cool to bring Gyllene into the 21st century, and I hope the Summer Swedes would like to join us in our celebration," he continues.
There are, of course, no specific tour details available yet. The tour itself will be planned early next year, with the premiere date probably in July.
It is expected that the tour will be preceded by some new material, perhaps a entire new album. Work on this will also commence after Christmas.

In today's edition of Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet a person "close to Per" reveals that Gyllene Tider has recorded more than half of a new album for their 25th anniversary next year. The album is to be released late spring 2004, according to the source. "Per Gessle wants to release the bomb himself," the source tells Aftonbladet.
This is not confirmed by Michael Ilbert - the supposed producer, Capitol or d&d management.
"We're discussing the best way of celebrating the anniversary. I cannot confirm, nor deny a possible album," manager Marie Dimberg says to Aftonbladet.

"Tycker om när du tar på mej" (7243-5535742) will probably be released Dec. 10. The tracklist is very nice, with some cool demos:

MP Persson is up and about again. First he has a song in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest tryouts, written together with a Finnish partner. Then he has also had time to produce Halmstad band Isildurs Bane's new album. MP played a little bit guitar on the album as well.

According to an interview with Per in Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet Gyllene Tider will continue to discuss a possible summer tour during December. Per lip synced "Tycker om när du tar på mej" on the gala "Världens barn" Friday Nov. 7. He will perform on the MTG Hit award show in Stockholm this Sunday. Rumor has that he will play "Känslorna".

There will most likely be a Gyllene Tider reunion tour in Sweden next summer, according to newspaper reports published today and The Daily Roxette's own sources.
The Swedish news agency TT Spektra writes today that plans for such a tour are becoming much more concrete.
Band members have begun discussing detailed plans of a possible new album release – and a tour – with EMI/Capitol, their record company. Members of Gyllene Tider have for a long time now talked about a tour next summer to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
"Of course I feel this would be great. I remember 'Återtåget' and a few 43 year-olds will get to tour and both give and receive happiness," says Micke "Syd" Andersson, drummer of Gyllene Tider. Micke gives the tour a 50/50 chance of happening.

September 23-25 Per went on the "shortest world tour ever", where he played Rockefeller in Oslo and Tavastia in Helsinki. I attended the gig in Helsinki and even met Per for an interview. See the picture here, and read the interview with Per at The Daily Roxette. The gig was very nice but shorter than the Swedish tour. About 600 attended, the venue took around 800.
Also on the 25th SVT broadcast the new documentary "Per Gessle - Ta en kaka till!" which was a 30 min long documentary about the whole "Mazarin" phenomenon.
"Mazarin" climbs up to #2 in Sweden again, while "Känslorna" falls to #7 from #6. "Mazarin" also re-enters the Norwegian charts and is now at #6. The latest single "På promenad genom stan" isn't doing great on the charts. It entered at #20 but fell to "28 this week.

Per & Mazarinerna perfomed three songs live on Bingolotto yesterday, namely "På promenad genom stan", "Tycker om när du tar på mej" and "Här kommer alla känslorna". As far as I know, Per is the first act ever that has performed three songs on a Bingolotto show.

The new single will be released September 17 in Sweden and is named "På promenad genom stan". "Inte tillsammans, inte isär", (T&A 2 timmars demo 28 juni 2003) is the b-side. View the sleeve in the discography. Per will also perform yet another time on Bingolotto on TV4, Saturday, August 30.

Here is the set list of the tour premiere concert. The concert got raving reviews in Aftonbladet, Expressen, Hallandsposten and Hallands nyheter, to just mention a few. More than 13,000 attended. Read more at the Daily Roxette.

The tour starts tonight in Halmstad. It's sold out, as well as Helsingborg and Gothenburg. The album has to date sold between 153,000 and 170,000 copies. The numbers vary from different sources.

"Mazarin" is still #1, "Här kommer alla känslorna" is #1 on all possible charts in Sweden. The next single off "Mazarin" will be "På promenad genom stan" featuring Marie Fredriksson. Release date is unknown, but my guess is late August. The b-side is also yet not decided.

Gyllene Tider will most probably go on tour next summer. 2004 is the 25th anniversary of Gyllene Tider, and Per and the boys have had a few meetings to discuss a possible follow-up to the enormously successful tour in '96. "It has to feel perfect though," Per says.
