Gyllene Tider is officially formed. Per Gessle "steals" Micke "Keef" Andersson and Mats Persson away from Janne Carlsson forming a new band - "Hjärtekrossaren" from Tom Petty's Heartbreakers - together with Anders Herrlin. They also bring in Göran Fritzon on keyboards. After a while they also take the name "Gyllene Tider" back. This is the year of the infamous Christmas concerts.
